Work History

Full time agency roles

My first junior design role was at digital agency, Zentropy Partners London which later became MRM. Over 6 years I progressed to Senior Designer and creative lead for RBS clients including NatWest. I've worked on projects for clients large and small, including Microsoft, Intel, Nesquik, Magnum and Formula 1 campaigns for HP.

I later worked as Senior Designer for Brighton-based digital marketing agency zero G media, creating campaigns, email designs and WordPress websites for small business clients including a yoga studio, spa and larger corporates such as Zip Fires.

Freelance

Freelance work has included UX/UI design for clients including NSPCC, The RSA and Breakthrough Breast Cancer; and print design for a variety of campaigns for Veg Power, a not-for-profit nationwide alliance with a mission to inspire and support kids to eat more veggies.

Ecommerce Business

I've been designing and selling my own range of greeting cards and prints under the name Well Bred Design since 2014. I designed and built an ecommerce website with Shopify and integrated third-party apps including Yotpo (reviews) and Klaviyo (email marketing) to expand the functionality. I also sell via online marketplaces including Not On The High Street, Etsy and Thortful.

Interests

I took a 3 month sabbatical in 2006 to explore South-East Asia and discovered a new passion for travel. A few months after I returned, I decided to see a bit more of the world, spending a year travelling around the USA, South America and Japan.

When I returned from my travels, I worked as a freelance designer with clients mostly based in London and Brighton. An ongoing relationship with digital agency Cubeworks/MBA included work on some great projects such as NSPCC Wishes campaign, redesign of the RSA website and other campaigns for great causes including Breakthrough Breast Cancer, Diabetes UK and CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services).

Since May 2022, I've worked on designs for several campaigns with Veg Power, a not-for-profit nationwide alliance with a mission to inspire and support kids to eat more veggies.

As my work causes me to spend a lot of time at a screen, I regularly walk on the South Downs and occasionally like to experiment with traditional printmaking techniques such as letterpress and lino cut.
